Our Guarantee

Tom's Word

Not a corporate policy — a personal standard, on every job, every time.

Tom's Word

Honest advice, real expertise, and workmanship built to last — not just built to pass. If we wouldn't recommend it to our own family, we won't recommend it to you.

Backed by apprenticeship-trained, union-shop standards — not a weekend certification.

Why we built it this way

Most HVAC guarantees are vague — "100% satisfaction," with no specifics about what that actually protects you from. Tom's Word is about one thing specifically: the honesty of the recommendation itself. We're not incentivized to invent problems, push unnecessary replacements, or upsell you into a bigger job than what your home actually needs.

What happens if something new comes up mid-job

Especially with mold/CIRS-related work, it's common to discover more once a system is actually opened up. When that happens, you'll see exactly what we found, get a plain-English explanation, and approve (or decline) any additional work before we touch or charge for anything beyond the original scope. No surprises on the invoice.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Tom's Word guarantee?

Honest advice, real expertise, and workmanship built to last — not just built to pass inspection. If we wouldn't recommend a repair, replacement, or upgrade to our own family, we won't recommend it to you.

Does this mean the price never changes once quoted?

For the scope of work quoted, yes. If we find something new mid-job — which can happen, especially with mold/CIRS-related work where more is discovered once we're inside a system — we show you what we found, explain it in plain English, and get your OK before touching or charging for anything beyond the original scope.

How is this different from a typical satisfaction guarantee?

Most guarantees are generic — '100% satisfaction' with no specifics. Tom's Word is about the honesty of the recommendation itself: we're not paid more for recommending unnecessary work, so there's no incentive to invent problems or push a bigger job than you actually need.

Does the union training tie into this guarantee?

Yes — Tom's Word is backed by apprenticeship-trained, union-shop standards, not a weekend certification course. See our full union HVAC page for what that actually means in practice.
